Every four years, Europe watches the Eurocopa (UEFA European Football Championships). The champions this year? España.
Once you get to the semifinals, all the players are excellent, so winning depends on luck, mood, and maybe even on the fans.
The final this year was on 29 June 2008.
The players were psyched. The coaches really wanted to win.
THE JOY AND THE PAIN
And at the end of the game, one team had won. And the Spanish players looked so happy.
The German players less so.
Especially this German coach.
But this was just a game. It came. Was enjoyed. And will be forgotten.
Something like the victory fireworks. Sure they’re beautiful to look at. But when the fireworks are over, its back to business as usual.
BUSY CLEANING UP
Attending the game was the Jewish Chancellor of Germany, Dr. Angela Merkel.
In order that the masses themselves may not guess what they are about WE FURTHER DISTRACT THEM WITH AMUSEMENTS, GAMES, PASTIMES, PASSIONS, PEOPLE’S PALACES …. SOON WE SHALL BEGIN THROUGH THE PRESS TO PROPOSE COMPETITIONS IN ART, IN SPORT IN ALL KINDS: these interests will finally distract their minds from questions in which we should find ourselves compelled to oppose them. Protocol 13
The games were a fine distraction. The losers (or “second-place winners”) will play another day. That’s the masses of normal people. They had several weeks of pleasant distraction. Enough so they didn’t have to think of what is really happening.
Meanwhile, the traditional Jewish businesses like tobacco, bras, and usury were doing a roaring trade. The oil prices were increased again.
While Europe was busy pretending that the Spanish team were the winners, the Jews were cleaning up.
They were the REAL winners.
But the REAL losers?
When you’re watching such exciting football every night, how can you possibly be expected to think about Roger Waters’ cry: Don’t be led to the slaughter.
